417 miles today-- Sisters, Oregon to Yakima Washington
We have a ton of miles to do today. Well 417, its not really hard but when you are traveling with 10 bikes and stopping to take pictures it makes for a long day. Starting off nicely we took route 224 which of course was a sweet twisty road. In fact all the roads we took today were sweet. Even added 20 minutes of interstate in there. We took route 25 which was so twisty and corners were tight, extremely nice curves but road condition itself wasn't so good. I felt like I was riding a dirt bike. There were so many lumpy cracks and waves in the road. At one point, I came out of the seat and landed so hard that I thought I broke something. My shoulders were burning when the ride was done. In fact everyone was feeling it. I had to slow down on one part because it was so heavily populated with trees, almost a canopy of dark shade, I couldn't see with my dark sunglasses and dark tinted visor, even opening the visor, going in and out of the sun and shade made it difficult. I waved everyone pass and hung out in the back for a while. Highway 12east was much better, in and out of mountains and flat plains. We left the shell to gas up around 6:30pm with 75 miles left to go. We made it an hour and a half later. After gassing and lubing up the bikes we made it to the hotel.

Disappointing day for pictures as we went right by Mt St. Helens and didn't get any good pictures. Needless to say tension in the group was icky!
